Ra'Tahba

Name: Ra'Tahba (never uses the honorific when she mentions her name)
Titles: Guardian of the Fighters Guild (Based on TES IV ranks)
Age: 50
Race: Khajiit/Cathay-raht
Gender: Female
Profession: Fighter and general mender of equipment, clothes and wounds
Organisation: "What organisation? This one is a simple Khajiit... Unless you mean the Fighters Guild, yes? You definitely mean the Fighters Guild."
Birthplace: Rimmen, Elsweyr
Birth Date: 25th Frostfall 2E 543
Birthsign: the Tower
Residence: a room in the Fighters Guild Hall in Rimmen for the most part; she does travel around Elsweyr often though, sometimes even abroad
Religion: Riddle'Thar/S'rendarr
Appearance: A black Cathay-raht of slender build, standing at a little over 170cm, with small hardly visible scars on her face (fur can do wonders in hiding those) except one a little more prominent scar on her nose, her mane gathered in a bun so that it doesn't get in the way. While she will prefer simple clothing in taverns and, generally, while off-duty instead of her gear, one can see that she has seen her fair (and sometimes not-so-fair) share of battles. Those that know her also know she is very fond of the colour blue and it's the main (if not the only) colour on her clothes and gear.
Personality: She is generally serious and stern, often assuming a "This one is on duty" attitude even when relaxing in a tavern. Over the years, she has grown more cautious and has developed a more tactical mind that might, at times, give the impression that she goes against her nature as a Khajiit. Once she was told about this: "You are still alive, therefore not curious enough, yes?" While she might give the impression that she doesn't even trust her own shadow, she actually trusts people, especially those she works with, and she hasn't hesitated to put their lives above her own when it mattered.
Habits/Skills (some potential RP hooks here): Having never used magic, she can be seen tending to wounds in the traditional way of bandage and salve. While she has developed the good habit of taking care of her gear herself, when it comes to repairing the ordinary wear and tear only though, she has also learned to dye clothes and gear. Some caution needs to be exercised when others ask her to treat their favourite piece of equipment or clothing though. She must be told what colours she should dye each piece, otherwise she has only one choice: her favourite blue. While she tends to stay focused on the road while travelling, a nearby butterfly can draw her attention and she might start chasing after it, losing her focus (even the direction she intended to go to) for some time. The older she grows the rarer the occurrence, but it can still happen. She also has some skill in playing the flute; nothing to be proud of, but it has helped distract her during hard times.
Rumours and RP Hooks:
There was quite the fuss when she was given the honorific Ra for her service to Elsweyr some years back. Rumours say that she had been given the choice between the honorific and a hefty bag of gold and, being unable to refuse both as a third option, she accepted the honorific believing that the gold should be used to rebuild her homeland instead. According to other rumours though, the Elsweyr nobility would have given her the honorific Do instead, had they known in time they were dealing with a female Khajiit rather than a male one. One thing is certain: she never used it, unless it was part of her official capacity within the Fighters Guild and only to sign official documents of the guild.
It is rumoured that she is the owner of a plantation and a winery somewhere in Northern Elsweyr that produces two versions of wines: an Elsweyr version that uses moon sugar and a Tamriel version that replaces moon sugar with drops of honey. While that seems somewhat normal, despite the fact that neither of these wines is generally consumed even in Elsweyr, rumours abound about the weird names given to the two most prominent wines produced there: "SKRTS" (pronounced the same as "skirts") and "Bloody Tahba". While it's rumoured that if you accidentally read "SKRTS" as "skirts" in Tahba's presence, she will offer you a sweetroll in understanding of your innocent mistake (if she has one in hand), it's best not to ask her about the story behind the "Bloody Tahba" name. You value your skin (or fur), right?
Rumours in Southern Elsweyr have it that she once was the acting Hall Steward of the Senchal Chapter of the Fighters Guild, but she abandoned her post after failing to establish a strong guild presence in the area. Conflicting rumours state that she had to leave Elsweyr on guild business instead and couldn't be in two places at the same time. Who can tell if there is any truth there?
